We do not recommend it. Springs hold a lot of tension and can cause serious injury. It is a job for a trained tech with the right tools.
Should both springs be replaced?
If your door has two springs, they usually wear at the same rate. When one breaks, the other is often close behind, so we will talk you through both options.
